8:45 - 10:00 "Cyber-Terror and Cyber Espionage - Now a practical threat"
Presented by Paul Henry, Vice President Technology Evangelism at Secure Computing

Internet threats continue to outpace defensive implementations. As indicated by several Internet security surveys the vast majority of networks are using outdated solutions that don't stand a chance against the current onslaught of new application vulnerabilities and massive Botnets now under the control of organized crime. Understanding the threat is the first step in building a reliable defense: What we will cover: What is driving the explosive growth of malware, Why Web 2.0 has become the latest low hanging fruit for the bad guys, Spam - and you thought it could not get any worse, Passwords are obsolete - in band authentication has failed, Cyber Espionage and Cyber Terror - real threats in 2008. Attendees will come away from this session armed with the knowledge of the current threats imposed on today's Internet and the risk mitigation considerations for a formidable defense.

10:00 - 10:30 Break

10:30 - 11:45 "Shining a Spotlight on the Dark Side"

Presented by Professor John Radson, Founder and Director National Security Forum, Associate Law Professor William Mitchell College of Law, JD Harvard Law School

Professor Radsan will discuss the complications that result from courts dealing with classified information. Since 9/11, from the Moussaoui prosecution to the civil suits against telecommunications companies for cooperating on the terrorist surveillance program, more of a spotlight is being directed onto government activities that used to take place on the dark side. Classified information, as Professor Radsan explains, complicates criminal prosecutions, civil cases, and Freedom of Information Act requests. His discussion will include developments under the Classified Information Procedures Act (CIPA) and the state secrets privilege.

12:00 - 1:00 Hot Lunch provided at the Kalahari included with Conference Registration

1:00 - 2:15 Follow-up Presentation to last years hit "Miscreant Underground"

Presented by Jerry Dixon of Team Cymru (for last years conference attendees, Team Cymru provided one of top rated presentations ever by Robb Thomas)

Team Cymru, Inc is a group of technologists interested in making the Internet more secure. We are a group of geeks who are passionate about network security and helping the community identify and eradicate problems within their networks. We work closely with and within Internet security communities, as well as with all manner of other organizations - after all, almost every organization in the modern world is connected to the Internet in some way or another, and they all need help to ensure that their parts of the network remain safe and secure.

2:15 - 2:30 Break

2:30 - ? "DICE Briefing 2008 "

Presented by Ray Semko, Center for Counterintelligence and Security Studies
Ray Semko's dynamic and powerful security awareness message will wake up people to the threats against our families and neighbors, towns and cities, companies and organizations, employees and co-workers, classified and proprietary information, computers and networks, and to our nation's security. It is important information you need to know to keep safe and the D*I*C*E Man delivers it in a way you will never forget.

If you have never heard Ray speak you won't want to miss this presentation, Ray continually receives top ratings by conference attendees. If you have heard Ray before, this will be an all new presentation that once again will be a lively presentation sure to entertain and motivate.
